C418 — Minecraft: Alpha + Beta Cassette Box Set [Pre-order]

Very  limited, never released on cassette before, ambient classic from C418, I'l let the Ghostly crew take it away..

In 2015, after quietly self-releasing Minecraft Volume Alpha and Minecraft Volume Beta, Rosenfeld partnered with Ghostly International to reissue Minecraft Volume Alpha on vinyl and CD. The release garnered attention from proper music critics and the gaming community alike, becoming one of the most sought-after records in the Ghostly catalog. Several color variant represses have since sold out quickly to high demand, even landing C418 at the top of Billboard's Emerging Artist chart. In 2020, the soundtrack’s second installment, Minecraft Volume Beta, saw its first physical release as a double LP and CD, and has similarly been repressed to fervent fan response.

Now, both Minecraft Volume Alpha and Minecraft Volume Beta receive their first-ever cassette release. The tapes are available separately and bundled in a limited edition box set now up for pre-order. The colorway for Minecraft Volume Alpha is an opaque Green, and Minecraft Volume Beta is an Orange colorway when purchased individually and with a Red shell in the box set.
